Reiki is both a spiritual practice and an energy healing system that originated in Japan in 1922, founded by Mikao Usui, a Buddhist monk. Mikao Usui aimed for Reiki to promote health and happiness for everyone—without exception.
The term Reiki comes from the Japanese words "rei" (universal) and "ki" (life energy). This gentle, loving energy has always existed and flows naturally within all of us and all living beings.
Reiki serves as a profound reconnection to the self, deeply harmonizing the mind, body, and soul. It supports emotional balance, encourages physical healing, and restores mental well-being.
Life’s stresses and challenges can leave us feeling drained; Reiki provides a deeply relaxing experience that alleviates physical, emotional, and spiritual strain, enabling the body to awaken its innate ability to heal.
During a session, the practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively on or near the body, guided by intuition and training. There is no massage or manipulation involved. Reiki can be offered to the whole person or targeted at specific areas needing attention. It can also be sent across distances, facilitating healing on all four levels: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

Every person experiences Reiki, an energy healing practice rooted in the teachings of Mikao Usui, in their own unique way. What matters most is arriving with an open mind and a willingness to release, relax, and heal. During a session, you may find yourself restoring balance, softening what once felt stuck, and reconnecting with a deeper sense of self—opening to who you are and where you wish to be in your spiritual practice.
Many people describe Reiki as a deeply nurturing experience. You may feel supported, cared for, and held in a safe, open space. In this environment, it’s possible to sense a connection to something within you that you may not have noticed before, allowing new insight, clarity, or peace to emerge.
